Companies, NGOs, NPOs, organizations, associations, institutions, schools, colleges, universities, municipalities, government institutions, professionals, consultants, or any individual who is interested in and wants to work for the objectives of the Association can be admitted as a member.
Membership of the Association shall be of five categories.
Membership will not be extended to any individual, organization, or community which promotes regional or international politics, religion, caste, ethnicity, or color.
i) Ordinary Membership
ii) Life Membership
iii) Organization Membership
iv) Honorary Membership
v) Students Membership
i. Ordinary Membership shall be open to all Keralite Entrepreneur or Entrepreneurial aspirants with a minimum age of 20, Subscribe to the objectives of the Association and pay an admission fee of Rs. 500 and an annual subscription of Rs.1200/- (Rupees one thousand two hundred only).
ii. Life Membership shall be open to those individuals who satisfy the required minimum eligibility criteria Viz., have a minimum of 5 years' experience as an Entrepreneur, subscribe to the objectives of the Association, and pay an admission fee of Rs. 500/- and an advance Lifetime subscription of Rs.25000/- (Rupees Twenty-five thousand only) either in full or in not more than four installments falling within the period of the same financial year of the Association.
iii. Organization Membership shall be open to those Companies, Institutions, or organizations that satisfy the required minimum eligibility criteria Viz., have a minimum 5 years' experience in the relevant field, subscribe to the objectives of the Association, and pay an admission fee of Rs. 5000/- and an advance 5 years' subscription of Rs.50000/- (Rupees
Fifty thousand only) either in full or in not more than four installments falling within the period of the same financial year of the Association.
iv. Honorary Membership shall be granted to an eminent personality or renowned Organizations, Companies, or Institutions from any Sector of Industry or renowned academician, etc.
v. Students Membership is exclusively for students with graduation or above and have to prove their academic enrolment and can be transferred to ordinary membership on successful completion of their course, subscribe to the objectives of the Association, and pay an admission fee of Rs. 100 and an annual subscription of Rs.600/- (Rupees six hundred only).
Privileges of Membership:
i. All ordinary members of the Association shall have the privileges of presence, participation, and voting at all General Body meetings provided the annual subscription is paid up to date.
ii. All Honorary Members shall have the privileges of presence and participation at all General Body meetings, but they won't have the voting privilege.
iii. The privileges of Membership shall not commence until the subscription is paid.
iv. Admission fees and annual subscriptions are not payable by Honorary Members.
v. A life Member shall have all the privileges of an ordinary member of the Association.
vi. All Organization Members have special privileges at Events, Work Shops, or Seminars but don't have the right to vote.
vii. An office-bearer shall cease to be an office-bearer if his subscription is not paid by the due date. He can resume the privilege of holding an office if the subscription is paid within 30
days after the due date.
Application for Membership:
i. A person seeking membership shall apply to the General Secretary in writing.A recommendation letter from any of the existing members of the associations should be submitted along with the application for applying.
ii. If the applicant fulfills the criteria and a recommendation letter from an existing member then the General Secretary reserves the right to issue membership and to present it in the next Executive Committee.
iii. A person seeking Life Membership shall apply to the General Secretary in writing who will present it for the approval of the Executive Committee. Admission to Life Membership shall be effective only after the approval of the Executive Committee.
iv. An organization seeking Membership shall apply to the General Secretary in writing who will present it for the
approval of the Executive Committee.An organization Membership shall be effective only after the approval of the Executive Committee.
v. Honorary membership can be nominated by any of the executive members. Selected/Elected Honorary membership will be valid for one year.
vi. Nomination for Honorary Membership should be sent to the General Secretary in writing giving details of the
attainments of the proposed member.The General Secretary will present it for the approval of the Executive Committee.The Executive Committee's decision to admit a person as an Honorary Member should be unanimous and in case of any arguments, two-third (2/3) majority of the Executive Committee will be considered for approval.
Cancellation of Membership:
i. Membership will be canceled automatically if the member failed to pay the specified subscription fee 90 days after the date of subscription renewal.
ii. A member has the right to exit from the Association by giving a letter to the General Secretary specifying the reason for the exit.
iii. The Organization Member can give a request for expelling their representing member from the Association detailing the reason for expelling on their own letterhead to the General Secretary and can nominate a new individual (Management/Staff) to represent their organization. In such a scenario, the application will be considered a new application and have to fulfill all the formalities and have to pay the specified fee. The Governing Council will decide on the above-said matter. If needed, the Governing Council reserves the right to take an explanation/ statement/ plea from the expelling member for clarification.
